Garden Soup

Elementary students had a chance to get their hands dirty in the garden this week when everybody pitched in for a batch of fresh vegetable soup. Pre-K through 2nd grade students picked vegetables which were washed and chopped by 3rd – 5th graders and delivered to the school kitchen for a delicious vegetable soup.

I just want to say that seeing those kids experiencing the gardening thing made my day!! Having a garden of my own, I understand how great it feels to grow and harvest things out of your own garden!! Looking at the boys’ smiles made me smile and for that I THANK YOU!! So nice to see kids outside and getting their hands dirty!!!
